Lunch & Learn’s 14th season kicked off with a bang as special guest Chef Jeff Jackson of The Lodge at Torrey Pines brought his singular culinary style to Sanctuary. Food Network Star and element’s Executive Chef Beau MacMillan got the night started discussing Chef Jacskon’s impact on him as a young, burgeoning culinary upstart. Describing how Chef Jackson taught him his culinary philosophy of finding the best ingredients and then allowing them to shine through technique. Then Chef Jackson came out and gave the eager Lunch & Learn crowd a demo of one of his specialties, a delicious chilled gazpacho answering any questions the crowd had while they sipped wine and chowed down on the gazpacho they just learned how to make. It was an epic night of culinary delights, great company and live entertainment from Angela Ferrari and her band.

She currently owns and operates Fin & Feather a southern meets Florida catering concept in Palm Beach, Florida.

What’s it like to manage the best cocktail bar in America or the world for that matter? Find out when superstar Jillian Vose returns to Sanctuary for an elaborate lesson in the sensual pleasures of the crafted cocktail. The bar manager at New York City’s famed The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog, Jillian Vose brings her renowned mixology skills to Lunch & Learn.

Famed author and food critic Simon Majumdar brings his unique perspective and culinary experience to the final Lunch & Learn of the season. Majumdar is a frequent guest on Food Network shows “Extreme Chef,” “Cutthroat Kitchen,” and “Iron Chef,” and is the author of “Eat My Globe.”
