Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain enjoys a legacy filled with Hollywood celebrities and international tennis stars. Known as the Paradise Valley Racquet Club throughout the 1950s and renamed John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch in 1965, the property attracted celebrities from TV and movies to music and sports, as well as others who found this Arizona luxury resort the perfect escape from a busy life.
In 1999 Westroc Hospitality took over management, closing for a complete renovation in 2000, and reopening the property in 2001 as Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. Today the resort features understated elegance with amenities that cater to the mind, body, spirit and senses...and has taken its place as one of the most unique leisure guest experiences in the U.S.
