From April 27–30, Sanctuary’s inaugural culinary festival draws international talent to a food & beverage extravaganza featuring star chefs along with Executive Chef Beau MacMillan. Throughout the weekend, you’ll enjoy informative, intimate conversation with celebrities from the world of food and wine…accompanied by tantalizing tastings, sumptuous meals and activities that make the most of Arizona’s glorious spring weather.
An exciting series of special events — including the poolside Torch evening, Birds & Bubbles dinner, private-home Master of Taste gala, desert golf tournament, Best of the West celebration, and New Orleans jazz brunch — showcase not only the talents of premier chefs and winemakers from around the globe, but also the spectacular beauty of this 53-acre lush desert setting on Scottsdale’s legendary Camelback Mountain.

Join us for the kickoff celebration of Nirvana, as we invite you to Torch, the ultimate Tiki Takedown. Hosted by superstar and Food Network legend, Chef Robert Irvine, as well as craft cocktail extraordinaire, Arizona’s Jason Asher, owner of Counter Intuitive and Undertow. Watch as six of the Valley’s best bartenders, including Brian Blevins from Artizen Crafted American Kitchen & Bar, Jonathan Sheridan from Sumo Maya, Maxton Kennedy from The Ostrich, Clint Spotleson from Second Story Liquor Bar, Bobby Kramer from Brickyard, and Michael Regan from Mix-up at the Royal Palms, go head-to-head in the ultimate Tiki cocktail competition.

No family has played a bigger role in Napa Valley winemaking history than that of Chuck Wagner, Owner and Winemaker at Caymus Vineyards, whose parents were born to pioneers that helped shape the industry from the late nineteenth century to the present day. This scion of the Wagner Family of Wine, which includes Caymus, Conundrum, Mer Soleil, Red Schooner and Emmolo, arrives with pairings for an exclusive five-course dinner in one of Sanctuary’s most luxurious private homes.
Four guest chefs — Matt Carter of Fat Ox and The Mission, Mark Tarbell of Tarbell’s and Tarbell’s Tavern, James Beard Award Winner Alessandro Stratta, and guest chef Francois de Melogue of Foods in Season — join Beau MacMillan and Ana Garza of elements and Sanctuary in honoring the celebrated winemaker…presenting an inspired appetizer, salad, entrée, side dish and dessert that showcase their distinctive culinary talents. Accompanied by thoughtful wine choices and dramatic views from Casa Seven’s wall of glass, this tribute to a living legend will be an event to remember.

The centerpiece of Sanctuary’s culinary wonders is elements. Known for dramatic views of the surrounding mountain vistas and sunsets behind Camelback Mountain…exceeded only by the superior service and Chef Beau MacMillan’s award-winning cuisine. During the final evening of Nirvana, elements and its indoor/outdoor Praying Monk venue welcome stations, where they’ll meet host Scott Conant, Chef and restaurateur of restaurant Mora Italian, as well as Chopped judge on Food Network.
Best of the West is your ticket to meet some of the finest Valley chefs as they showcase their specialties, paired with full wine portfolios from renowned vineyards, including ZD, Belle Glos, Etude and more. Delight in high-end spirits such as Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Belvedere Vodka, and Dalmore Scotch, or find a favorite new local, craft brew while chatting with your favorite local chefs at interactive action stations throughout the restaurant. Celebrated chefs include Chuck Wiley of Mountain Shadows, James Porter of Terra Farm & Manor, Samantha Sanz of Talavera, Russell LaCasce of Zuzu, Jacob Ellis of Top of the Rock, Brian Lieske of Grayhawk Golf Club, George Frasher of Frasher’s Steakhouse, Lenard Rubin of The Country Club at DC Ranch, Peter McQuaid, and Rochell Daniel of Fat Ox, and Beau MacMillan of elements.
