Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Again Recognized by Arizona Hospitality and Lodging Association's "Stars of the Industry" Awards

Scottsdale, Ariz. (December 20, 2011) – Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain has been recognized once again for its top talent and unique offerings, earning three coveted "Stars of the Industry" awards from the Arizona Hospitality and Lodging Association. The awards acknowledge the hard work of Arizona's hospitality employees, and the exceptional programs offered by the state’s resorts and hotels. Sanctuary received top billing within the "small property" category for:

"Special Events, Ongoing:" Sundays in Paradise
Sanctuary's "Sundays in Paradise" program is designed to give the local community a fun, festive and inexpensive opportunity to enjoy Sanctuary's mesmerizing views and beautiful grounds. This ongoing weekend program features live entertainment from the region's best performers as well as affordable a la carte lunch fare, prepared by Executive Chef Beau MacMillan. Its 2011 debut has created a great sense of community amongst Sanctuary's guests and local residents.

"Community Service
The Sanctuary team is regularly engaged in group volunteer work, whether participating in the Special Olympics of Arizona, scheduling food bank drives for the holidays or hosting a yoga class to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. In 2011, Sanctuary's staff-driven "Community Outreach Committee" launched a campaign to collect money for two worthy charities, aiming to raise $4,000. They exceeded that goal by $400 and counting. In addition, Sanctuary's staff participates in an optional payroll deduction for the charity of their choice. Together they also collectively donate approximately $1,000 in products and services to a different charity every month.

"Guest Service Employee of the Year:" Mike Masood, Fitness Trainer
Mike Masood has been a part of the Sanctuary team since 2002. He has built a loyal client base who appreciates his guidance and the health improvements that come as a result of his diligent training and encouragement. Masood is always searching for the latest fitness techniques and nutritional studies to share with the team, keeping Sanctuary at the cutting edge of fitness training.
