Scottsdale, Ariz. (October 18, 2006) – "The public is the only critic whose opinion is worth anything at all." – Mark Twain. The pleasure of a glowing review was recently accorded Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) by the discriminating readers of Condé Nast Traveler. In fact, Sanctuary has been named the "top resort" in the United States according to the magazine's Readers' Choice Awards, anointing it the country's preeminent luxury boutique resort and spa. This prestigious annual listing will appear in the November 2006 issue.

"Sanctuary as a destination and an experience has always been customer-driven," said Mike Surguine, general manager of Sanctuary. "To be recognized by our guests as the top resort in the United States is immensely rewarding for our team."

The 2006 Readers' Choice Awards are derived from the oldest and largest independent poll of travel consumers ever conducted, second in size only to the U.S. Census. The poll is a compilation of 21,000 responses evaluating a record 3,120 properties, destinations, airlines, cruise lines and car rental agencies across the globe. Sanctuary received a total score of 95.9 based on the evaluation criteria, including facilities, dining options, location, design, accommodations and services. Of special note is that Sanctuary garnered a perfect "100" rating for service.
