March 28th Event Features Hugh Wilson, Creator of Hit Series, WKRP in Cincinnati
Scottsdale, Ariz. (March 23, 2011) – Today, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain announced the anticipated return of its gourmet dinner series, Hollywood Bites, which brings together leading Hollywood figures and the region’s top chefs for evenings of world-class food, wine and conversation. The program returns Monday, March 28, starring the award-winning writer and director, Hugh Wilson, of WKRP in Cincinnati fame. He’ll join Sanctuary’s Executive Chef and Food Network Star Beau MacMillan for an extraordinary Cincinnati-inspired feast (think Skyline Chili and Graeter’s Ice Cream – a la Sanctuary). Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sanctuary’s recently renovated Praying Monk dining patio. Tickets are $100 per person which includes dinner, beverages, tax and service charge, and guests will have the opportunity to interact informally with Mr. Wilson, enjoying behind-the-scenes anecdotes during the meal.
Wilson is the creator of the award-winning sitcom, WKRP in Cincinnati, and director of such renowned movies as Police Academy (1984), The First Wives Club (1996), Mickey (2004),Dudley Do-Right (1999), Blast from the Past (1999) and Guarding Tess (1994). He has won an Emmy Award for his writing on the critically acclaimed television show, “Frank’s Place” and is currently a guest professor of Media Studies at the University of Virginia.
Major League Baseball sportscaster Marty Brennaman, voice of the Cincinnati Reds, will moderate the evening as these broadcast veterans share behind-the-scenes anecdotes of “the Queen City” and their years in radio and TV.
Hollywood Bites is designed as an intimate, maximum party of sixty. Guests can overnight at Sanctuary in conjunction with the dinner for a special rate of $495 per night in a Mountain Vista Casita, with inclusion of tickets for two to the dinner. The rate is based on double occupancy, excludes tax and resort fee and is subject to availability. These rates are not valid with any other offer and require advance reservations.
