Scottsdale, Ariz. (May 10, 2011) – Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain has long heralded the benefits of farm-to-table dining, and Executive Chef Beau MacMillan works closely with area purveyors to showcase the region’s best fare in elements restaurant. Celebrating its ongoing commitment to the local movement, Sanctuary is hosting a special dinner event on May 24, 2011, featuring a five-course menu of fresh produce from Duncan Family Farms, a fourth generation, family-run Arizona operation. The meal, held on Praying Monk patio, will be complemented by a series of wines from Penfolds winery. Pat Duncan of Duncan’s Trading Co. and Chris Dillon of Penfolds will be on-hand to discuss their organic, sustainable farming strategies.
Limited to a maximum of 50 guests to ensure an intimate setting, tickets are available for $75 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The dinner event will begin with a special wine reception at 6:00 p.m. Chef MacMillan’s menu has been designed to showcase the best of Duncan Family Farms, and includes:
- Mosaic of watermelon and tomato with roasted red pepper sorbet, petit greens and extra virgin olive oil
- Carpaccio of cucumber with pickled hamachi and fried ginger
- Stuffed squash blossom with shrimp and truffle mousse and coconut squash soup
- Grilled venison loin with creamed fava beans and blackberry garlic glaze
- Olive oil carrot cake with mascarpone cream cheese and white chocolate ginger ice cream
