This winter season Sanctuary offers guests the opportunity to suit up, take a dip, and trade tips with Olympic gold medalist, Misty Hyman, best known for her victory in the 200 meter butterfly at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

The Gold Medal Masters Weekend, held February 17-20, 2012, starts at $2,346 per person based on single occupancy, and will be limited to a group of no more than 30 participants. Geared towards competitive, adult swimmers (ages 18 and over), the weekend program will show participants how to make the most of their aquatic skills, whether they are serious competitors or simply looking to acquire new strategies while soaking up the desert sun.

The package provides six swimmers at a time with two one-hour semi-private pool sessions with Misty, one two-hour swim practice with the entire group, and a 90-minute classroom session, complete with videos and worksheets about race strategy and form. After physically exhilarating (and challenging) days in the pool, guests will be restored thanks to two 60-minute spa treatments at the award-winning Sanctuary Spa. The three-night experience will include accommodations in Sanctuary's luxurious mountain casitas.

To recharge the body and soul, the weekend package includes one complimentary dinner for the group at famed elements restaurant, during with Misty will address the group with an inspiring keynote speech. A separate group lunch with Hyman will also include an opportunity to take pictures, get autographs and see her gold medal. Participants will delight in the selected take-away gifts that will be presented to them upon completion of the masters program.
